Malaysia Movement Control Order (MCO) is now extended to 15th April 2020. There are many ways for companies to access to their computing resource in the office. Each of these methods has pros and cons. Working remotely requires secured access where clients need to be authenticated. If users are using their home computer or mobile devices, it is also important that these devices are well protected and do not post threats to office computing resources. 2FA can be implemented to further secure login process. Simplicity of access is also important to minimise support effort. There are many Firewall that comes with their own client software but some required IPSEC.
Another option is to setup access node in the office where remote users access through URL. For example, Citrix or Microsoft RDS or TsPlus. All this allow simple URL access with application publishing control where users can have access to certain application only OR perhaps the whole Windows Desktop experience.
